- PROJECT NAME: ARRA-funded construction of Floodwater Retarding Dam (RFD) 15 in the Lyons Creek Watershed District No. 41 ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. LOCATION: Morris County, Kansas SUMMARY: NRCS Kansas anticipates issuing an invitation for bids under full and open competition for the construction of a flood water retarding dam at Site 15 of the Lyons Creek Watershed. TIME FRAMES/DATE: It is anticipated construction will commence on or about March 15, 2010, and work will be completed within 280 days. Solicitation packet is tentatively scheduled for posting January 5, 2010 with bid opening tentatively scheduled for February 5, 2010. Prospective contractors must obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number. A DUNS number can be obtain by calling the Dun and Bradstreet at 1-866-705-5711 or via the Internet at http://www.dnb.com. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration can be completed at the CCR Web site at http://www.ccr.gov. Prospective contractors must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA). Registration can be completed at the ORCA web site at http://orca.bpn.gov.
