Description
THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT RECOVERY- FSR 3618 & 3620 SUBGRADE STABILIZATION AND PAVING. MALHEUR NF, HARNEY COUNTY, OREGON. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0121 on or about March 15, 2010, for the Recovery FSR 3618 & 3620 subgrade stabilization and paving in Malheur NF, Harney County, Oregon near Magone Lake Campground in the Blue Mountain Ranger District. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 15, 2010, to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for FSR 3618 & 3620 Subgrade Stabilization and Paving located in Malheur NF, Harney County near Magone Lake Campground in the Blue Mountain Ranger District. The project begins at the North entrance of the campground and proceeds 2.1 miles North to County Road 18. This work consists of excavating material and constructing embankments. This includes furnishing, hauling, stockpiling, placing, disposing, sloping, shaping, compacting, finishing earthen and rocky material and paving. The contractor shall supply all services, labor, equipment and material, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals except those items, if any, listed as Government-furnished property needed to perform the following: FSR 3618 & 3620 Subgrade Stabilization and Paving Project in compliance with its terms, specifications, and provisions of the contract. The Government’s estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Government intends to award a negotiated firm fixed price contract. PROJECT LOCATION – Near Magone Lake Campground on the Blue Mountain Ranger District. From John day, proceed westerly on U.S. Highway 26 approximately 8 miles to the junction of U.S. Highway 395 in Mt. Vernon, OR. Proceed northerly on U.S. Highway 395 approximately 9 miles to the junction of County Road 32/Forest Road 36 approximately 7 miles to the junction of Forest Road 3618. Proceed northerly on Forest road 3618 approximately 3 miles to Magone Lake Campground. The project begins at the North entrance of the campground and proceeds 2.1 miles North to County Road 18. PARTICIPATION. This acquisition is determined to be under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and posted for full and open competition. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237310. The size standard is $33.5 Million. The solicitation with specifications and Davis Bacon Contract Act wage rates will be posted to the FedBizOps website www.fbo.gov. REGISTRATIONS.
