- This synopsis is notification of the Fort Carson Directorate of Contractings intent to extend contract, W911RZ-05-D-0012, for a base period of two months starting 29 March 2010 through 31 May 2010, with three one-month option periods to the incumbent contractor, Colorado State Business Enterprise Program, 2211 W. Evans Ave., Unit B, Denver CO 80223. The extension will be performed under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract. The contract type is a firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract. The extension will provide uninterrupted services to the Fort Carson installation pending award of a competitive follow-on contract. This action is intended to be accomplished under the authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and is posted for 15 days. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that an alternate approach would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be extended without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
