- Description
- Justification and Approval for Sole Source The 18th Contracting Squadron intends to award a Sole Source contract to The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) for the purchase of "On Site Inspections & Proficiency Testing & Reaccreditation of DET 3 USAFSAM, Okinawa, Japan. It is the belief of the 18th Contracting Squadron that AIHA is the only firm for this recurring service to maintain appropriate accreditation for the laboratory to analyze environmental airborne monitoring samples that can meet our needs. There are no other firms that can meet the prices provided by AIHA. The period of performance will be for one Basic Year and two Option years. Interested sources that have the capability to perform the services may contact me via email at rieko.toma.jp@kadena.af.mil. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. Japan Standard Time on December 31, 2009. The Government will consider all responses but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely under the discretion of the Government. This action is under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other will satisfy agency requirements.
