- RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS PROVIDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA), PUBLIC LAW 111-5. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO W.S. ANDERSON INCORPORATED, 33 DOVER STREET.SUITE 124, BROCKTON, MA 02301, UNDER CONTRACT WC1330-08-CQ-0085, AN 8(A) CONCERN. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) posts this notice of intent to modify Contract Number WC1330-08-CQ-0085, Task Order 0011 issued to W.S. Anderson Incorporated of Brockton, MA, an 8(a) firm under its Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task order contract for construction services to support the National Weather Service Eastern Region, and other National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) entities. The estimated value of this action is less than $60,000.00. This action is for removal of Asbestos in the rooftop ductwork and roofing flashing at the NOAA, NMFS Laboratory, Milford, CT. In September 2009, NOAA awarded Task Order 0011 against Contract Number WC1330-08-CQ-0085 to W.S. Anderson Incorporated of Brockton, MA, an 8(a) firm under its Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task order contract for construction services to support the National Weather Service Eastern Region, and other National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) entities. The current requirement for the removal of Asbestos in the rooftop ductwork and roofing flashing is essentially follow-on work to the work that W.S. Anderson Incorporated of Brockton, MA is performing on Task Order 0011. To consider sources other than W.S. Anderson Incorporated would be inefficient and could compromise the Government's ability to meet the project completion schedule. A Contractor other than W.S. Anderson would need additional time to acquire the knowledge necessary to fully understand the Government's requirements. Thus it is in the Government's best interest to acquire the follow-on work from W.S. Anderson Incorporated. This notice is for full disclosure compliance and announcement of potential subcontracting opportunities only.
