- Description
- The Pine Buff Arsenal has a requirement for BOX, wood cleated plywood, Type III Class 2, Style A, Treatment B, IAW ASTM D6251, Dwg 36-3-141 and NOR Y76-0051-0002. Size 14 7/16 x 13 7/16 x 15 inches ID. Lids will be palletized separately. Boxes will be palletized 27 per pallet. PALLET, materials handling, hardwood, post construction, 4 way entry, style 1, class 1, size A, Spec MIL-P-15011J dtd 16 Sep 85, except that the gap between deck boards at center of pallet shall be 1 inch minimum, 1 inch maximum and the gap shall be located at the center of the pallet +/- inch to accommodate strapping. Pallet shall be preservative treated in accordance with (IAW) MIL-P-15011J para 3.2.1.3 and identifying marking IAW para 3.4.1. Marking shall be placed on bottom of pallet. NOTE Boxes and pallets shall be constructed from heat treated (HT to 56 degrees Centigrade for 30 minutes) material and certified by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) IAW Non-manufactured Wood Packing Policy and Non-manufactured Wood Packing Enforcement Regulations both dated 30 May 2001. Wood Cleated Panel Box (Unit Pack Container) fabricated from plywood. The following drawing and specifications are applicable: (Dwg) No. 36-3-141 with correction indicated on the drawing, ASTM Internation Designation D 6251, and specifications for Pallet wood, preservative treated in accordance with MIL P-1500011J para 3.2.1.3 and identification markings in accordance with 3.4.1. Markings shall be placed on outside of center post in letters 1 inch minimum height. The type of contract shall be firm fixed price. Solicitation shall contain an option to purchase up to 100% of the initial quantity. FOB Destination, Pine Bluff Arsenal, AR. Acquisition is being conducted utilizing full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation document contains information that has been designated as Militarily Critical Technical Data. Only businesses that have been certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office and have a valid requirement may have a copy of the solicitation documents. All requests for copies of the solicitation document must include a certified copy of DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. To obtain certification, contact: Commander, Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS), ATTN: U.S./Canada Joint Certification Office, 74 Washington Avenue North, Battle Creek, MI 49017-3084 or call the DLIS at (800)-352-3572. The DLIS Unites States/Canada Joint Certification Lookup service is available via the Internet at: http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/. Solicitation will issue on or after 04 January 2010 with a closing date on or after 03 February 2010. Requests for the solicitation package must be in writing, via facsimile to 870/540-3730 or via e-mail to calvin.hickman@us.army.mil. Ensure solicitation number W911RP-10-R-0003 is listed in the subject line on all solicitation requests. Additionally, companies full mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and email addresses where available should be listed on all requests. Email request that do not contain the solicitation number in the subject line will be deleted without review. Electronic Proposals are not acceptable; proposals shall be mailed to arrive by the time specified in the solicitation to the address specified in the solicitation. The contract resulting from this procurement will be awarded to the responsible Offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation requirements; will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Questions may be sent via facsimile or email, again the solicitation number MUST BE referenced in the subject line on any correspondence. Verbal questions will not be addressed.
