- Notice for Sole Source(Tier-III Gap Analysis with Integrated Efficiency Analysis) The Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center, Austin, Texas intends to award a sole source contract to The Uptime Institute (TUI), Santa Fe, New Mexico for custom, trademark protected, Tier-III Gap Analysis and Efficiency Analysis. Contractor shall include labor, materials, and travel logistics associated with this service. Contractor shall produce a report evaluating existing Data Center conditions (include capacity, condition, and capability). This report will also produce a plan for transitioning Data Center from a Tier-II into a certified Tier-III working environment. This report will also evaluate the entire facility for improvements in energy efficiencies which could be integrated into other modifications considered towards achieving Tier-III certified facility. All responses from responsible sources will be considered. Responses must include sufficient documentation to allow this office to evaluate the possibility of your firm to submit a valid proposal. Sufficient documentation shall include but not limited to: 1) Written verification from The Uptime Institute the ability to provide certified Tier-III Gap Analysis. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. All responses must be submitted in writing within 5 calendar days of publication of this notice. Written responses can also be faxed to 512/326-6028.
