- Subcontractor may receive for analysis liquid, solid and gaseous media including but not limited to air filters, swipes, charcoal, sorbent materials, bulk materials, and other media as appropriate for the methods. Samples may originate from known or suspected hazardous, radioactive, and/or radioactive mixed waste sites and may contain hazardous organic, inorganic, and/or radioactive materials. The following accreditations are required for this work: --American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Industrial Hygiene accreditation for solvents, metals, asbestos, and silica --AIHA accreditation under their Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP) --National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for bulk asbestos by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) --NVLAP for airaborne asbestos by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) and TEM -- National Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program Interested laboratories to provide company name, address, and Point of Contact name, phone/fax numbers and email address with copies of the above accreditations.
