Description
RECOVERY ACT - Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for the repair and replacement of condensate piping and pumps at the Lincoln Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. Work includes but is not limited to General Construction, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical work, and necessary removal of existing structures. All work shall be performed in accordance with specifications and drawings for Repair/Upgrade Condensate Pipes and Pumps project number R636-07-312ES at the Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Lincoln VAMC, 600 South 70th Street, Lincoln, NE, 68510 and all applicable codes and standards. The project will consist of a replacement of steam condensate pumping systems, including, coordination and/or temporary condensate piping, minor electrical removal wiring and devices related to pump motor changes, miscellaneous metal, pipe hangers and supports, piping and fittings, valves, insulation, insulation jacketing, pumps, controls, electrical and related items. Solicitation Number VA-263-10-RA-0038 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about December 21, 2009. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held during the week of January 4 January 8, 2010 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on January 29, 2010 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimate of the total project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
