Description
THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO CONTRACTORS UNDER THE HANGAR/INDUSTRIAL MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (IMACC) FOR CONSTRUCTION, RENOVATION, DESIGN, ALTERATION, AND REPAIR PROJECTS FOR GOVERNMENT FACILITIES IN THE HAMPTON ROADS AREA, VIRGINIA AND NORTH CAROLINA. CONTRACT NUMBERS: N40085-07-D-7019, 7020, 7021, 7022, 7023. The Design Build Construction of all site improvements required for a New 61,117 SF Aircraft Hangar and associated support infrastructure, and will also include the demolition of the existing Building 109 line shack (2,615 SF), and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Building 110 (4,413 SF). Supporting infrastructure also includes design and installation of utilities such as sewer, water, electric and natural gas, security lighting, intrusion detection, communications systems, local area network, and associated paving, parking and site improvements. A new Ground Support Equipment Building of 3360 SF must be designed and constructed at the beginning of the project between existing Buildings No. 401 and 404 before demolition can proceed to the existing GSE Building 110. GSE Operations must be maintained throughout the construction period. During Hangar construction and prior to installation of piles with spread foundation, approximately 4500 Cubic Yards of soil are to be tested, removed and disposed and 4500 Cubic Yards of Clean Compacted Engineering Fill Material to be installed below Hangar area. The scope includes construction of a new steel frame building, with screw type piles with spread foundation, structural floor, and a metal roof over steel construction. Construction will provide for a New C-40 Aircraft hangar maintenance floor area, maintenance support areas, operational, administrative, support areas, and warehouse space. The hangar bay and floor will be protected by an AFFF fire suppression system and overhead sprinkler system conforming to the requirements outlined in the referenced UFC. The Hangar Maintenance area will also include dedicated 400 Hz power, compressed air system, lighting systems, mechanical systems and electrical systems complete and operational as specified in the RFP and associated drawings
