Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 002 TO THECOMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FORMECHANICAL ENGINEERING ANALYSIS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in theirquote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a writtenamendment will not be issued.The purpose of this amendment is to address additional questions.The due date for receipt of offers is NOT extended, as it will end on November 27, 2009eastern time at midnight.ACCORDINGLY:Question #1, we use AutoCAD Inventor. Would that be ok if we could provide step files?Answer #1, the use of AutoCAD Inventor would be acceptable providing the CAD files weredelivered in step and iges file format.Question #2, advise if the Offeror proposals can be emailed NLT the response date andtime.Answer #2, yes, you can submit your quote via e-mail but through the system is preferred.Question #3, please also advise if multiple Offers can be provided from the same offeror.Answer #3, yes, multiple offers will be accepted.Question #4, please advise if the government is welcome to the Offeror coming andproviding services at the NASA facilities using their software license.Answer #4, the government is requesting delivery of drawings in a CAD software packagecapable of producing solid models of gears for manufacturing purposes. The solid modelscould be Pro-E or other package providing the export files are either.stp or igesformat. The government will not provide the software package for this procurement.Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on November 27, 2009. Documents related to thisprocurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web(WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
