- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Specifications for Deck Grating Materials Description of Project: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB), in support of the lengthening of the Dredge Hurley Ladder for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District (CEMVM), to procure deck grating for the horn sections of the Dredge Hurley to be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Ensley Engineer Yard, Memphis, Tennessee. Statement of Work: The Contractor shall provide the following material: Material: Galvanized Steel Deck Grating Size/Details: 36" W x 72" nominal SPAN 1-3/4 x 3/16 Bearing Bars, Crimps serrated Banded ends Safe Load: Minimum of 326 PSF Quantity: 350 The Contractor shall also provide the necessary grating clips. The material shall be delivered to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ensley Engineer Yard located at 2915 Riverport Road, Memphis, TN 38109. Period of Performance: Delivery must be made no later than 10 weeks after contract award. Information for Bidder: Point of Contact at Ensley Engineer Yard is Mr. Terry Phifer, (901)544-0985.
