Description
The California Institute of Technologys Jet Propulsion Laboratory, located inPasadena, California, operating under a prime contract with the National Aeronautics andSpace Administration (NASA), seeks potential small business vendors to provide a drawingpackage in support of JPLs Deep Space Network (DSN) 34-meter Beam Waveguide (BWG)Antenna Assembly. DESCRIPTION: The potential contractor will provide a new drawingpackage for the latest 34-meter BWG antenna as the existing drawings are not configuredfor the forthcoming build of DSS-35, an enhancement of the JPL DSN.STATEMENT OF WORK: The contractor shall: (a) Generate a complete set of BWG drawingsbased on a sample set of existing drawings; (b) Convert metric units to standard units;(c) verify the accuracy of next assembly and bill of materials; (d) Validate againstexisting JPL-provided trees and IDLS; (e) Maintain a log of the new drawings, new drawingshall reference the sample drawings; (f) Incorporate Engineering Change Orders from thesample drawing package into the new drawings; and (g) Generate new Computer-aided design(CAD) files, where necessary. NOTE: Drawings shall be produced and created in a mannerconsistent with the current DSN 34-meter antenna assembly. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: (TBD).TRAVEL: Weekly trips to JPL in Pasadena, California are required for the period ofperformance.
