- The USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), has a need for services in support of the Environmental Laboratory (EL), US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) at the Waterways Experiment Station (WES) in Vicksburg, MS. The ERDC desires to improve the transfer of its products and technology and develop additional innovative methods that provide increased interactions with the USACE user community. The specific tasks which the contractor will be required to provide are consulting services. The contractor will summarize existing technical transfer activities. This task will be conducted via interviews with CW Technical Directors and Program Managers and include a review of 2 to 3 representative websites. Questions will be developed with selected ERDC representatives. The contractor will summarize USACE user communities perceptions of ERDC technology transfer activities. This task will be conducted via interviews with selected USACE representatives (approximately 30). Questions will be developed with selected ERDC and USACE representatives. The contractor will identify technology transfer strengths, weaknesses, and gaps. The deliverables of this requirement are a summary document of the tasks and will include recommended actions for improved technology transfer. Detailed specifications will be available on the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 25 November 2009. Hardcopies will not be available. Offerers should check the FedBizOpps web page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns under NAICS code 541620 with a size standard of $7,000,000.00. No technical questions will be considered prior to the release of the solicitation.
