- The Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) mission is scheduled to launch anexpendable launch vehicle. The contractor shall provide the design, development,fabrication, testing, and delivery of the GPM Lithium-Ion Battery assembly. Batteriesare to be built to flight design, one of which has been subjected to qualificationenvironmental test program, prior to delivery to GSFC for I&T.Contract has an optionfor additional spare flight batteries batteries built to flight design, subject toacceptance environmental test program, then delivered to GSFC.
