- On or about December 10, 2009, the National Park Service will be issuing Request for Quotations to provide column replacement services. Contractor shall replace 4 deteriorated wooden columns located at front entrance of House 6, located at the Miller Field District of Gateway National Recreation Area, Staten Island, NY 10306. Work involves: surveying existing conditions, verifying dimensions of each column prior to submitting quotes, securing porch roof and replacing with new.The solicitation(s) will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, TIFF and Adobe PDF formats. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http//ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent. Scope of work: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to provide and install 4 new columns. Range: $25,000 - $100,000 The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 327420 and 1,000 employees. The estimated time for completion is 45 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Award will be made upon price and non price related factors such as experience, past performance and qualifications. To receive consideration, Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration and have completed the Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA). Contractor must provide Dunn and Bradstreet number with quote. This solicitation will be issued as a small business set aside pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program (FAR Part 19.10). This procurement is set aside for Small Business in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 19.502-2. All questions must be in writing and may be submitted to Gateway National Recreational Area, Roselyn Sessoms, 210 New York Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305 or emailed to roselyn_sessomst@nps.gov.Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests being sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened.
