- The Rock Island Contracting Center intends to solicit/negotiate and award on a sole source basis with North American Aerodynamics, Roxboro, NC, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, a requirement for 120mm Parachutes in support of the M983 and M930 Illumination Mortar Ammunition. As of this date, only one source has been qualified. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement.
