Description
Honda Parts List The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, has a requirement to procure various Engine parts (see attached) to support an estimated 2000 Honda engines, Models BF40, BF90, BF130, BF150, BF200, and BF225, currently in service onboard the U.S. Coast Guard 25’ RB-S, 25’ RB-HS; 27’ UTL’ 23’ UTL; 23’ SPC-SW; 26’ TANB; 23’ TANB; and several other non-standard boats. In addition to the attached list of parts, the resultant contract will include a requirement to allow ordering of any part found in the Honda Parts Catalog at a discounted rate. All parts supplied must be genuine Honda parts - no substitutes or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. All parts shall be preserved, packaged, and marked in accordance with Coast Guard specifications. It is anticipated to award a fixed-price Requirements-type contract consisting of one base year and four option years. It is the Government’s intent to solicit only Honda North America for dealership authority to enable ordering of parts on a wholesale basis via the Honda IN ordering network thereby saving the Government thousands of dollars per year. However, other concerns having the capabilities to supply these parts are invited to submit complete information discussing their capabilities within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
