Description
JOINT DOD COMPONENT INDUSTRY SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR) COMMERCIALIZATION PILOT PROGRAM (CPP) TECHNOLOGY INTERCHANGE WORKSHOPS. The Air Force, Navy, Army, and Missile Defense Agency plan to conduct multiple Technology Interchange Workshops between March and December 2010 at major contractor facilities. As with similar prior workshops, the Air Force Transition Support Program will provide each major contractor hosting a workshop with a data mining search tool to identify small businesses with Phase II SBIR projects of potential interest to the major contractor. The government team will also help facilitate the workshop. In similar fashion to other Air Force SBIR CPP Workshops, facilitation of one-on-one sessions between small businesses and the host major contractor will occur. Major contractors with interest in participating in this activity must contact the listed POC below. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not obligate the government in any way. Response to this request is voluntary and will not impact any future acquisitions. RESPONSE: Please respond, to the appropriate point of contact, within 20 business days of the publication of this announcement with your request to host one of the planned workshops. RESTRICTIONS: Interested companies must be major contractors and be U.S. Defense companies only. In order to attend, you must either be a DoD employee or DoD contractor with a valid DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. LIMITATIONS: Due to resource constraints, and our expectations for responses to this announcement, we anticipate having to select from the number of responding companies to participate in these activities. For complete information on the Navy/Air force/MDA/Industry Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Commercialization Pilot Program (CPP) Technology Interchange Workshops, including the selection requirements please go to the following website and click on "UPCOMING SBIR CPP EVENTS" http://www.wpafb.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=5560. Please contact the following point of contact to express your interest in hosting and participating in these pilot activities and with any questions: Government SBIR CPP POC: Mr. Richard Flake, 937-255-0706, richard.flake@wpafb.af.mil
