- The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality ContractingCenter (JM&L CC) Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806- 5000, on behalf of thePicatinny Operations and Maintenance Division Directorate of Public Works hasa potential requirement for designing a plan to make Picatinny Arsenal becomea Net Zero Energy Installation (NZEI). Picatinny Arsenal is hosting anIndustry Day Conference to obtain input from Energy Industry Experts in orderto prepare for the potential subsequent release of a Firm Fixed Price, Requestfor Proposal (RFP) solicitation to conduct the actual design plan. The purpose of the Industry Day Conference is to provide preliminaryinformation on the US ARMYs anticipated requirement for designing a plan tomake Picatinny Arsenal become a NZEI. The Industry Day Conference will alsoprovide an opportunity for contractors to ask questions and provide anopportunity for interested firms to network with each other. The DRAFTStatement of Work (SOW) for the potential requirement has been uploaded withthis announcement. Participants are reminded to bring copies of the DRAFT SOWwith them since the US ARMY will not provide paper copies at the conference. The purpose of this special announcement is to inform interested firms thatthe JM&L acquisition team has scheduled an Industry Day Conference for theanticipated requirement on December 11, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. atPicatinny Arsenal, NJ. The industry day conference will be held at thePicatinny Arsenals Officers Club on Picatinny Arsenal. As a result of spacelimitations, attendance will be restricted to two (2) representatives fromeach company. To register for the Industry Day Conference, please send anemail request to Stefanie Hagan at Stefanie.hagan@us.army.mil by 2:00 PM(Eastern Time) 7 December 2009. Your request must specifically identify yourcompany name as well as the specific name(s) and email contact information ofthe individuals who will be attending, a confirmation message will be providedafter your companys registration is completed. Reservations for the Industry Day Conference will be on a first come, first service basis and seatswill be limited. Anyone not registered, will not be admitted. Please note,attendance/participation at the Industry Day Conference is encouraged but isnot a prerequisite for participation in any solicitation that may eventuallyresult from the conference. Doors will open at 8:00am, 11 December 2009(Visitor passes will be given to the representatives who have registered asthey go through the main security gate). The US ARMY Picatinny Arsenal willnot be responsible for any costs incurred for attending the Industry DayConference. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not arequest for proposal (RFP) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as tothe ultimate acquisition approach.
