- Description
- Q103: Please detail the exhaust configuration of the T700 cell. A103: The current T700 Exhaust Configuration is square tube that is approximately three feet by three feet and extends 80 inches into the exhaust stack before to bends 90 degrees up and goes up for about six feet. The Augmenter tube is approximately 35 3/4 inches by 35 3/4 inches and is 3 1/2 feet deep. It is inserted in the exhaust tube and is adjustable to fit the placement of the engine. Q104: Please provide details in how the T700 augmenter tube discharges into the exhaust stack. A104: The Augmenter tube is approximately 35 3/4 inches by 35 3/4 inches and is 3 1/2 feet deep. It is inserted in the exhaust tube and is adjustable to fit the placement of the engine. Q105: What is the current operating condition of the existing ATF3-6 test cell hoists? The SOO states a requirement to have these components replaced. Is the requirement to replace both hoists trolley units or is the scope limited to only the hoist interface and controls? A105: The current operating condition of the existing ATF3-6 test cell hoists is minimally acceptable. In accordance with the SOO section 5.0 REQUIREMENTS, This upgrade should include, but is not limited to, the following systems: 24. Hoist System and Controls. Both of the hoist and the control interfaces were original installed in 1986. As such both are obsolete and the models are no longer manufactured. Spare parts are rare and hard to find, therefore both the hoists and the control interface will need to be replaced. The replacement hoists could reuse the current rail system or may require replacement/modification of the rail system, depending on the model suggested in the contactors proposal. Q106: Is it permitted to install underground sump tanks in the area behind the T700 cell? A106: No, new sump tanks cannot be installed.
