- Description
- This is a Sources Sought announcement. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The 50th Contracting Squadron at Schriever Air Force Base (SAFB), Colorado, seeks potential sources for Civil Engineering and Base Maintenance Services to be performed at Onizuka Air Force Station, Sunnyvale, CA which is scheduled for closure under the Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC) Act of 1990 and Defense Base Realighnment and Closure Commission (DBCRC). Services are considered a diminishing workload with rapidly declining, unpredictable workload requirements. The servcies will be on a short term basis lasting no longer than 15 Sep 2011 with a further accelerated decline in workload beginning no later than September 2010 and final contract performance ending as early as 01 Apr 2010. Servcies to be provided include major functions of base infrastructure operations and maintenance, engineering, enviornmental management, resource management, fire, safety and emergency management as well as janiotrial and grounds maintenance services for aged and outdated infastructure. Coordination of activities and workloads will also require working closely with the BRAC office to coordinate shut-down plans, disposition of property and equipment. This sources sought notice is for market research purposes only to determine availability and business sizes of interested contractors. A solicitation for quotes will be posted at a later date.
