- RECOVERY – THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA). The Government intends to award a construction contract under the provisions of the Small Business Administration Section 8(a) Program. The proposed procurement is being offered pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA has delegated USDA authority to contract directly with eligible 8(a) firms. The MOU implements a USDA initiative designed to streamline the procurement process for awards under the 8(a) program. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The project involves removal and disposal of four existing native log stringer bridges, the mobilization and installation of four modular bridges to replace the removed log bridges, and the installation of appropriate bridge guard rail systems. Installation of modular bridges to include all abutment and support earthwork needed for proper installation. Also minor bridge repair prior to installation is to be included: removal and replacement of wearing surface, bridge railing replacement/retrofit, and connection bolt replacement. The intent of this contract is to provide for the complete project described in the contract. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and provisions of the contract. The Government’s estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000.
