Description
The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013 intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Canberra Industries, Inc, 800 Research Pkwy, Meriden, CT 06450-7169 for Maintenance/Repair of: Alpha/Beta Counter LB5100 SN 613124 and Alpha/Beta Counter 5HP SN34842 to include Eclipse Software and documentation update releases, Two Intermec Bar Code Readers to include AirQuality Air Sampling Software and documentation update releases for each Alpha/Beta Counter. Period of Performance is base year of 1 Oct 09 - 30 Sept 10 with possible two option years. Canberra is the manufacturer of this equipment and provides the necessary maintenance on their proprietary equipment and software. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811219, and the size standard is $7.0 MIL. All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in this and future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
