- On or about November 30, 2009, the National Park Service will be issuing Request for Quote(s) to install a new ballistic glazing at the United States Park Police substation located at Gateway National Recreation Area - Floyd Bennett Field Building 275 located in Brooklyn, NY. Work involves: providing and installing approximately fifteen (15) lineal feet of new ballistic - resistant glazing system at existing reception counter, Installation of a new package exchange, natural voice port and surface-mounted deal tray and providing and installation of approximately fifteen (15) lineal feet of new ballistic barrier under counter. The solicitation(s) will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, TIFF and Adobe PDF formats. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http//ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent.Scope of work: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to install a new ballistic glazing system. Range: $25,000 - $100,000 The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 238150 and $14.0 million. The estimated time for completion is 30 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Award will be made upon price and non price related factors such as experience, past performance and expertise. A site visit may be held (see solicitation package for time and date of scheduled visit). To receive consideration, Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration and have completed the Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA). Contractor must provide Dunn and Bradstreet number with quote. This solicitation will be issued as a small business set aside pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program (FAR Part 19.10). This procurement is set aside for Small Business in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 19.502-2. All questions must be in writing and may be submitted to Gateway National Recreational Area, Roselyn Sessoms, 210 New York Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305 or emailed to roselyn_sessomst@nps.gov.Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests being sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened.
