Description
The United States Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and LethalityContracting Center, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Close Combat Systems, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking sources for the acquisitionof portable blast and ballistic protective and hardened structures for use as guard posts at a Forward Operating Bases. Interested sources are requested to provide a capability statement to include company name, address, telephone number, point of contact, company size (please specify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business), item nomenclature, item description, and applicable documentation/brochure/literature. Respondents shall specifically provide/identify the following information: 1. Respondents shall provide a description of all ballistic and blast fragmentation testing conducted with respect to their product(s). 2. Respondents shall provide a description of any Safety Confirmation (SC) and Capabilities and Limitation (C&L) documentation, should any exist. 3. Respondents shall provide details if their product is currently sponsored by a Government Agency, being fielded as a capability in a Theater of Operation and the respective Gaining Command. 4. Respondents shall identify any Material Handling Equipment (MHE), tools and site preparation required for installation. 5. Respondents shall identify if their product is portable and scalable in terms of structural configurations and damage due to either usage or by means of ballistic and or blast events. 6. Respondents shall provide their current and projected maximum monthly production rates. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE AS A RESULT OF THIS MARKET SURVEY. ALL INFORMATION IS TO BE SUBMITTED AT NO COST OR OBLIGATION TO THE GOVERNMENT. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Interested sources should submit their qualification data and requested information no later than 1700 hrs EST on 30 November 2009 by email to elizabeth.stanley@us.army.mil. Interested sources may also submit their qualification data and requested information to JM&L Acquisition Center, ATTN: Elizabeth A. Stanley, Building 9, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 no later than 1700 hrs EST on 30 November 2009.
