- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Bell – Boeing Joint Program Office, Amarillo, TX to provide six (6) Virbration, Structural Life and Engine Diagnostics (VSLED) Leakage Tester (VLT) in support of the V-22 Aircraft. The V-22 aircraft has 22 VSLED vibration sensors that all interface to the VSLED unit in connected with two (2) cables. The VLT is used to take a voltage measurement for each sensor individually to measure the amount of leakage to ground for that sensor. The Navy intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Navy in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Navy. A solicitation is not available for this procurement. Responses must be received within 30 days of publication of this notice.
