Description
The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), has a requirement to renovate Owl / Kestrel Pen Areas to include: construct new Owl Pen-Series III; construct new shed type building; installation of new predator barrier around Hance Complex (area of construction) and installation of game bird netting above existing pen series and new Owl Pens Series III. Located at Patuxent Research Refuge, Laurel Maryland. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm Fixed Price type contract. The procurement is anticipated to include a period of performance twelve weeks from Notice to proceed. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on the internet on or about 11/19/2009. The associated solicitation number is 10ERSS0021. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). A formal solicitation, statement of work, and technical exhibits are not available for release at this time.This requirement is being issued as Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 and the size standard is 33.5 million. There is not an incumbent contractor. Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.All questions and concerns may be submitted to the Contracting Officer via email at abenton@usgs.gov.
