- Description
- This solicitation is to procure a Conventional Chassis Truck. The specifications are as follows: 1. New current model (2009 or 2010) equipped with all factory standard features. 2. Single truck with conventional chassis with tandem rear axle (without bed). Outside of rails must be clear of any accessory attachment (battery box, fuel tank, etc.) in order to allow mounting of existing drill equipment. See attached drawing. Distance from rear of cab to center of rear tandem axle must not be less than 168 inches and total distance from cab to end of chassis not less than 243 inches. 3. Front bumper mounted with 10 ton winch. 4. Tandem Axle Regular Cab (The height of the cab above the chassis must not exceed 68 inches) 5. GVWR approximately 46,000 lbs (rear distribution approximately 34,000 lbs). 6. Diesel Engine (minimum 300 HP) 7. Transmission shall include manual Low Range and High Range for highway travel. High range may be automatic, semi-automatic, or standard. 8. Air Conditioned Cab 9. Driver Side Air Seat 10. Air capable of extending for rear glad hands installation. 11. The truck must meet all Highway Safety Requirements. 12. Paint color preferred is white. 13. The truck must be delivered no later than February 1, 2010. If the February 1, 2010 can not be met please provide a delivery date. The delivery location is 1115 County Rd. 15 South, Selma, Alabama. 14. A manufacturers standard warranty must be provided. Factory/warranty repair/services shall be in the Montgomery Al area. 15. Prefer rear tandem tires to be mud/lug thread. It is anticipated that a fixed Price contract will be awarded. This procurement is a set aside for small business under NAICS 336111. All questions should be sent by email to Geanette Kelley, at geanette.kelley@usace.army.mil. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the flowing website Https://www.fbo.gov on or about 13 November 2009.
