Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently planning the release of a final Screening Information Request (SIR) later in FY2010 for procurement of VHF radios, UHF radios, and VHF/UHF Emergency Transceivers (ETRs) as part of the NEXCOM Segment 2 Program. The FAA intends to award the VHF and UHF radios contract to a single vendor. In advance of the final SIR release, the FAA is posting this Draft SIR for Industry information. The following informational documents are included as attachments: 1. DRAFT Section B: NEXCOM Segment 2 Supplies or Services and Prices2. DRAFT Section C: NEXCOM Segment 2 Statement of Work3. DRAFT FAA-E-3014, UHF VHF Product Description4. FAA-G-2100H5. FAA-STD-019e6. Human Factors Design Standard (HFDS) The FAA is providing this Draft SIR for informational purposes. The FAA is not requiring vendor responses to the attachments in this draft SIR.
