Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a special notice to inform the public of the use of the Recovery Act funds. RECOVERY: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO 8(a) CONTRACTOR HEALTHY RESOURCES ENTERPRISE, INC. The Contract Specialist for this action is Allen R. Bassett at 817-886-1051; or by e-mail at Allen.R.Bassett@usace.army.mil This contract action will be accomplished using Other Than Full and Open Competition under the authority of FAR 6.302-5(b)(4), Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program15 U.S.C. 637 and the Partnership Agreement dated 1 February 2002 between the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Department of Defense (DoD). The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, transportation, equipment, and materials necessary to provide road repair and paving at Ferrells Bridge Dam, Lake O the Pines, Texas. Paving at the Ferrels Bridge Dam service road entails applying a chip seal over the existing asphalt of the Stilling Basin parking lot and service road down ramp, paving the raw earth boat ramp parking lot at the Stilling Basin, and recycling the existing asphalt of the service road and using this material as base material followed by application of new asphalt. Paving to modernize Brushy Creek Park, Alley Creek Park, and the Overlook Day use park area entail recycling the existing asphalt and using it as base material and then applying new asphalt. Roadways will also be re-aligned as needed to facilitate ease of use by recreational vehicles.
