- RECOVERY ACT PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR the Ventilate Dialysis Project at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs).Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, qualified supervision, to ventilate the Dialysis Rooms and 3 South of Building 1, at the Jesse Brown VAMC, Chicago, Illinois,Project Number 537-07-119, as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. Work to be completed within 360 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOps. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation packages. The solicitation for this RECOVERY ACT funded project will be issued on/about December 3, 2009 with the bid opening on/about January 7, 2009. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $500,000 - $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220; size standard $14.0 Million applies. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award.
