Description
Design/Build SDTW Manzano Mountain Site Work, Kirtland Air Force Base, Bernalillo County, NM. The proposed procurement is a Best Value, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $33.5 million. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about December 1, 2009, with offers due on or about 7 January 2010. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. WORK CONSISTS of the design and construction of the Manzano Mountain Site Work project at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The project includes the construction and grading of roadways, pads and a concrete ring wall to support the addition of Government Furnished antenna and radome in the Space Development Test Wing (SDTW) area of Kirtland. Other work is also included in the project such as relocating an existing fence line, adding secondary fire department access to the facility and upgrading an existing, non-air conditioned metal storage building. This project will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best overall value to the Government. Proposed procurement will result in a firm fixed price contract.
