- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to compete a firm fixed price contract for the development non-magnetic GPS based azimuth sensing system for use with the currently fielded Marine crops Vector 21B laser range finder. This system will reduce Target Location Error to less than 10m, and permit accurate target location at ranges of 2.5km from observer to target. The system must be small in size with no linear dimension exceeding 12 inches. The system to be developed must be a production representative within 8 months of award of this contract. Additional technical requirements include the following: GPS (non-inteferometric) azimuth sensor; must be able to interface with existing DAGR; boresightable to Vector 21B (AN/PEQ13); 4 mils azimuth accuracy; less than 5 pounds (including batteries, cables, etc.); less than 120 second startup time. The period of performance will be date of award through eight (8) months. DoD will no longer award contracts to contractor not register in the Central Contractors (CCR) database. Registration may be accomplished by accessing the CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov.
