Description
We are initiating market research action to determine if the equipment specified for use on the subject project are also manufactured in the United States conforming to the Buy America Act. “The United States Coast Guard is conducting a market research to procure direct expansion variable refrigerant volume split system air conditioning units that comply with the Buy America Act. We are specifically seeking information on systems that satisfy the definition of "domestic construction material" as set forth in FAR Clause 52.225-9, Buy American Act - Construction Material. The equipment shall have the following features and characteristics: 1. ARI 210/240 certified 2. UL or ETL listed. 3. Energy Star labeled. 4. Operate with a refrigerant having an ODP of 0 (refrigerant 410 A, or 134 – example). 5. Integrated and matched indoor fan coil units with outdoor air cooled condensing unit(s). 6. Multiple indoor fan coil units served by a single outdoor air cooled condensing unit for multiple zone application. 7. Multiple indoor fan coil units include ceiling suspended, sidewall, wall mounted, concealed and ceiling mounted cassette types ranging in cooling capacity from 1 to 4 TONS. 8. Outdoor air cooled condensing unit ranging in cooling capacity from 3 to 8 TONS. 9. Outdoor air cooled condensing unit compressor modulation by way of inverter drive varying the flow of refrigerant to the connected indoor fan coil units. Respondents shall submit their respective product literature for evaluating compliance with these requirements to: United States Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit Miami 15608 SW 117 Avenue Miami, Florida 33177-1630 Attn:Deborah J. Boydston deborah.j.boydston@uscg.mil Product literature shall be submitted for review within the advertisement period specified herein and in sufficient detail to describe each of the characteristics and features listed above.
