Description

The VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky has a requirement for a contractor to furnish all labor, material and equipment needed to provide construction services to construct approximately 1,400 square feet expansion of the west wing of the 7th floor over the 6th floor of building in the hospital; convert 6 office spaces to patient sleeping rooms in 7 south; upgrade finishes in 11 office rooms on the 7th floor; upgrade break area and construct a new staff restroom. Work includes but is not limited to the demolition, asbestos abatement, general construction, structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, communications, equipment, utility systems, roofing, and certain other items per the specifications and drawings provided. All work to be completed in phases, according to the phasing requirements provided. The period of performance for this project is 260 days. All bidding materials, drawings, specifications will be available at the time the solicitation is announced for download from the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov on or before December 21, 2009. All offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to this solicitation at the website prior to the response time.
