THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE AND THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON NOVEMBER 27, 2009. ALL PROPOSALS ARE DUE BY 3:00 PM EST DECEMBER 15, 2009. Delivery address will be notated within the solicitation. NO OTHER INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE BEFORE THE SOLICITATION IS POSTED. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Job Corps intends to procure construction services to provide remediation of miscellaneous deficiencies at the South Bronx Job Corps Center (JCC) located in Bronx, New York and at the Brooklyn Academy located in Brooklyn, New York. The deficiencies at the South Bronx JCC consist of finishes upgrades, a sump pump replacement in Building 1, and application of anti-graffiti treatment to the Andrews Avenue façade of Building 7, Gymnasium, as well as extension of the perimeter fence in front of Building 7. The deficiency at the Brooklyn Academy consist of the installation of a new perimeter fence to render the parking area serving the Center secure. The proposed method of procurement will be HUBZone Competition. The period of performance will begin within 14 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) and shall be completed within approximately 211 calendar days from receipt of NTP. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million.
