THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE AND THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON NOVEMBER 27, 2009. ALL PROPOSALS ARE DUE BY 3:00 PM EST DECEMBER 15, 2009. Delivery address will be notated within the solicitation. NO OTHER INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE BEFORE THE SOLICITATION IS POSTED. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Job Corps intends to procure construction services to provide remediation of miscellaneous deficiencies at the Grafton Job Corps Center (JCC) located in North Grafton, Massachusetts. The deficiencies include loose and missing balcony tiles; deteriorating vanities in sleeping rooms; handicapped shower floors which slope toward the door instead of the floor drain; and deteriorated wall finishes. The proposed method of procurement will be HUBZone Competition. The period of performance will begin within 14 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) and shall be completed within approximately 210 calendar days from receipt of NTP. Substantial completion shall be within 246 calendar days from NTP. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million.
