- It is the intent of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT), Huntsville, AL 35807, to negotiate on a sole source basis a twelve (12) month extension to period of performance to contract W9113M-05-C-0006, with CAS Inc., 100 Quality Circle, Huntsville, AL 35806-2107. The proposed acquisition is directed to CAS Inc. pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for an extension to the contract for continued operations and maintenance of the Advanced Measurements Optical Range which have been provided under the current scope of work. The extension will allow time to complete a competitive action to award a follow on contract to the current AMOR. This acquisition is not open to Allied participation.
