- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 3 each Description of End Item Use: High Speed Camera, Phantom, MIRO4, 800x600, 1000FPS, 4GB, 8-bit, monochrome without LCD screen and with cover for flash card, Part #VRI-MIRO4-4096M CLIN 0002 3 each Description of End Item Use: Option, 12 bit for MIRO3 or MIRO4, Part #VRI-MIROX-12 bit CLIN 0003 Option to buy additional quantities. High Speed Camera, Phantom, MIRO4, 800x600, 1000FPS, 4GB, 8-bit, monochrome without LCD screen and with cover for flash card, Part #VRI-MIRO4-4096M CLIN 0004 Option to buy additional quantities Option, 12 bit for MIRO3 or MIRO4, Part #VRI-MIROX-12 bit The intended delivery date for the item(s) is 3 weeks The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Vision Research. This firm is the sole manufacturer and sold direct by Vision Research The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333319 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Time, Tuesday, November 10, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
