- NSNs, Item Descriptions, etc. on solicitation This announcement is for the purchase of part-numbered and source controlled drawings items for which Hydra Electric Company Inc. is the approved source. These items fall within the scope of this contract. In addition to those items in Section B of this solicitation, the scope of this contract includes all DLA and service managed NSNs for which Hydra Electric Company, Inc. (CAGE 98505) is an approved source of supply. Items within the scope may be added to this initiative or any resulting contract(s) at a later date I/A/W Clause I16C04, Addition/Deletion of Items. The NSNs are being considered for additions to the Hydra Electric Company, Inc. Long Term Contract. Companies interested in offering on the NSNs, other than authentic Hydra Electric Company, Inc. parts please contact: N. Back at 614-692-7949. FSCs to be covered under this project are 5930 and 6685. The following NSNs are among those contained in this annoucement, but they may have requirements not covered by the current Hydra Electric Company, Inc. Long Term Contract: 5930-00-457-4461, 5930-01-034-4200, 5930-01-142-9144, 5930-01-146-5544, 5930-01-157-0837, 5930-01-160-1281, 5930-01-209-9181, 5930-01-222-3398 and 6685-01-013-6381. A new RFP is not intended as it is anticipated that these NSNs will be added to an existing contract. All Responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which will be considered. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluaton factors as described in the solicitation.
