- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Code 6170, Materials Division has a requirement for one (1) commercially available, 3D Optical Profiler System. The system must use non-contact three-dimensional surface roughness characterization by white-light interferometry, measure large-scale roughness (vertical range) and handle large samples (system staging, measurement area, and "stitching" of data). Complete specifications will be provided in the solicitation document.The Government intends to satisfy this requirement through a competitive acquisition solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Please note this is a pre-solicitation notice only. The actual solicitation document will be issued on or about 19 November 2009 and can be downloaded electronically from the following internet websites: www.fedbizopps.gov or www.neco.navy.mil. Paper copies will not be available.The solicitation number is N00167-10-T-0010. The procurement is 100% small business set-aside. Applicable NAICS is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. A firm-fixed-price contract award is anticipated using the procedures of FAR Subpart 13.5-Test Program for Commercial Items.In accordance with FAR Subpart 4.1102(a) Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration(CCR)database prior to award of a contract.
