- Synopsis for Special Operations Forces (SOF) Deployable Node-L Version 3 (SDN-L v(3)) solicitation No. H92222-10-R-1006 ****ATTENTION**** formal communications related to this acquisition should be directed to: Allison Hutchens, Contract Specialist, by phone 813- 281 0560 X419, writing to USSOCOM SORDAC KI, 7701 Tampa Point Blvd, Attn: Allison Hutchens, MacDill AFB, FL 33621-5323; email: hutchea@socom.mil. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special Operations Research Development and Acquisition Center (SORDAC) Center intends to solicit proposals to acquire Special Operations Forces (SOF) Deployable Node-L Version 3 (SDN-L v(3)). The selected contractor shall integrate, manufacture, test, certify, deliver and support SDN-L v(3), a portable satellite communications (SATCOM) terminal(s) and associated baseband providing secure and non-secure voice, video and data communications to deployed SOF worldwide. The SDN-L v(3) includes requirements for three technical areas: (1) Ku-band manpack terminal incorporating iDirect technology; (2) X-band manpack terminal incorporating iDirect technology; and (3) baseband routing function. Additional requirements, including a statement of work, will be contained in the request for proposal (RFP) package when released. The SDN-L v(3) will consist of an integrated assemblage of non-developmental items (NDI) and Government furnished equipment (GFE). The NAICS code is 334220, with a size standard of 750. This synopsis is published for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES only. No response to this posting is required nor will questions from industry be entertained by the Government at this time. The RFP will be available at http:// /www.fbo.gov at which time questions from offerors may be submitted. The proposed solicitation shall be a FULL AND OPEN competition. It is anticipated that a Firm-Fixed Price, five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with three option years, will be awarded. The contract will be negotiated pursuant to FAR Part 15. Paper copies of the RFP WILL NOT be issued and telephone or fax requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. For reference purposes only, Solicitation No. H92222-10-R-1006 will be assigned to the upcoming solicitation. The anticipated deadline for proposal submissions will be on or about 45 calendar days following the issuance of the RFP. Instructions for proposal submissions will be included in the RFP. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
