Description
For providing Catholic Ministry and pastoral services for Womack Army Medical Center Fort Bragg, NC, patients, families and staff within the framework of their religious faith, to include pastoral counseling, professional consultation, and conducting mass during the week and each Sunday morning. Period of Performance will be 1 Dec 09 - 30 Nov 10 with four (one year option periods). Services shall be performed IAW Ecclesiastical and tenets of the Roman Catholic Religion etablished principles and ethics of the Catholic Priest profession, standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organization (JA), and the professional standards of Womack Army Medical Center. QUALIFICATIONS: Be an ordained Catholic Priest fully accredited and endorsed by their ecclesiastical supervisors including Archdiocese for Military Service (documents to be submitted with offer), and no less than 3 units of Catholic Pastoral Education or acceptable equivalent in terms of formal graduate education,professional training and experience or a combination thereof. Certification by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains will meet this requirement (Must be submitted with the offer). Experience includes knowledge, skills and abilities in the following areas: pastoral counseling, trauma resolution, sermon preparation and delivery, Roman Catholic law, ecclesiology, liturgy, minstrations, and marriage and family ministry.
