- RECOVERY. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. A firm fixed priced contract was awarded to SheltonDean, Inc. of Tallahassee, FL under contract AG-4384-C-10-0001. The contract is for the replacement of critical systems and finishes in insectary area, roof repairs, and replacement of systems and finishes in laboratories space at two research facilities located on the campus of the Invasive Plant Research Laboratory located in Ft Lauderdale, FL This contract was awarded as an 8(a) sole-source in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 19.8 and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Small Business Administration. The selection of SheltonDean, Inc. was based on market research, successful past performance and proximity to the research location. Five line items totaling $446,340 were awarded under ARRA funding.
