- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Penitentiary Big Sandy, Inez, KY, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, intends to make a sole source award to American Electric Power Service Corp. (AEP), PO Box 24400, Canton, OH 44701. This requirement is for the providing of electrical service to the penitentiary during the period of 11/01/2009 through 09/30/2019. To the best of our knowledge, this requirement can only be met by AEP. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations as no solicitation document is available. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been certified and approved for AEP. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The closing date is October 26,2009.
