Description
Boeing Corporate BOA J&A The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a firm fixed price order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement, N00019-05-G-0026 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company) of St. Louis, Missouri 63166, for the procurement of Engineering Change Proposal 6353 F/A-18 E/F Lower Wing Hinge Corrosion Improvements" retrofit kits to modify 205 F/A-18E/F aircraft on a sole source basis. The modifications are to the lower wing. The supplies and services to be provided include, but are not limited to: Design/Development of retrofit change kits; Technical Ditective (TD), retrofit change kits and spares, required to incorporate approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs); support equipment, engineering, data, production prototyping, manufacturing, verification and validation of change kits to retrofit Operational Safety and Improvement Program (OSIP) Changes to delivered aircraft; technical publications for ECPs; OSIPs; and other technical publication updates, as required; on-site training at contractor factory or Government installation. Boeing, the sole designer, developer, integrator, and manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft and associated trainers, is the only known firm possessing the unique specialized experience and engineering expertise, tooling, data, facilities, and the requisite in-depth knowledge of the F/A-18 peculiar engineering, data, and tooling required to perform the Government's minimum requirements within the timeframe. Any interested party must have the approved facility(ies) and personnel clearances necessary and also demonstrate ability to obtain any required clearances in time to meet schedule requirements. Any respondent must also submit a Statement of Qualifications to demonstrate their ability to perform to the Government's needs within the required response time.
