Description
RECOVERY-PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER W9127N07DOOO10014 (Project 122353). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District has issued Modification 1 to Task Order 14 under Contract W9127N07D0001 for Government Quality Assurance Representative Services. The Contractor shall provide a qualified engineering geologist, knowledgeable in slurry wall installation, to witness installation of a cement betonite slurry wall in the levee along the Cowlitz River in Castle Rock, WA. This witnessing will start with the earthwork (degrading the levee to a uniform crest); site work (including removing existing light poles and concrete bases along the electrical pull boxes); levee embankment construction; installation of light pole bases, electrical pull boxes, and conduit; construction of a seepage cutoff wall composed of wall panels using the cement betonite slurry trench excavation method; placement of riprap; and other related items. The Contractor shall as the Government Quality Assurance Representative ensure the earthwork, site work, seepage cutoff wall and riprap construction takes place in accordance swith construction specifications.
