- This announcement is for informational purposes only. The Government intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Southern Policing Institute for community policing training for the Lebanese ISF. The Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) supports the US Government initiative to enhance the rule of law and respect for human rights within Lebanon through the implementation of a community policing program. The Project will provide two training courses for trainees from the Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF). The first course will include Problem Based Learning Police Field Training (commonly known as PTO training). This training shall take place in Lebanon. The second training will be direct training in the US to ISF Lieutenants in Community Policing and Problem Oriented Policing Strategies. Both trainings shall be provided by an institute which has been named a Regional Community Policing Institute by the US Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). Any interested parties in this requirement must provide information to support it ability to meet the above. This information must be received by 4 pm ET, 16 October 2009 to the attention of Mary Pat Hayes-Crow at hayes-crowmp2@state.gov.
