- NSRP ASE Research Announcement 08-01 With this Research Announcement the National Shipbuilding Research Program solicits project proposals to support the program goal of reducing the cost of building and maintaining U.S. Navy ships. NSRP is focused on industry-wide implementation of solutions to common cost drivers-solutions that address consensus priority issues and exhibit a compelling business case to improve the U.S. shipbuilding and ship repair industry.
